چکیده
Highlight Research Development of immunostimulant from natural sources is a promising approach to improve the immune status fish Dietary administration sodium alginate Padina australis at 2.0 g/kg was an effective for red tilapia Red fed diet with significantly increased innate responses TLC, PA, respiratory burst, SOD, TPP, lysozyme, and ACH50 activity modulated genes expression GPx, TNF-α, IFN-γ, IL-10, TGF-β1, Hepcidin Abstract The study derived has received considerable attention in recent years. Indonesian coasts have various immunostimulant, especially brown algae, which are rich alginate. This research investigated response (Oreochromis sp.) after being diets supplemented alginates (SA) alga, australis, originating Awur Bay, Jepara, Indonesia. work provided comprehensive information regarding interaction cellular-humoral immunity gene expression. SA-containing doses 0, 2, 3 4 12 days, then blood samples were collected on days 3, 6, 9, evaluate total leucocyte count (TLC), phagocytic activity/index (PA/PI), superoxide dismutase (SOD), alternative complement (ACH50) activity, plasma protein (TPP), (blood sample day 6). immunological parameters improved administered period. SA enhanced count, dismutase, whereas index not different. Furthermore, mRNA levels antioxidant-related (GPx), pro-inflammatory cytokines (TNF-α except IL-1β), antimicrobial peptides (Hepcidin) upregulated. Meanwhile, anti-inflammatory (IL-10 TGF-β1) downregulated. Supplementation as lowest dose revealed most effects potential aquaculture.

Antioxidant and immune gene expression in zebra fish (Danio rerio)
Iodine is the main ingredient produced by the thyroid hormone, which playa a central role in the metabolism and the immune system. The present study aims to evaluate the effects of feeding Artemia fransiscana enriched with potassium iodide on antioxidant and immune gene expression in zebra fish (Danio rerio). Zebra larvae with an average weight of 2±0.01 mg were randomly distributed into 4 trea...
متن کاملBCG modulates neonatal innate immune cytokine production.
Infection causes 0.6 million of the total 2.9 million neonatal deaths every year and devastates the lives of millions more who initially survive; it mercilessly seeks out those weakened by premature delivery and/or low birth weight (LBW), an unfortunate combination too frequently encountered all over the world but particularly so in low-income countries [1]. Reduction of neonatal mortality over...
متن کاملChitin Modulates Innate Immune Responses of Keratinocytes
BACKGROUND Chitin, after cellulose the second most abundant polysaccharide in nature, is an essential component of exoskeletons of crabs, shrimps and insects and protects these organisms from harsh conditions in their environment. Unexpectedly, chitin has been found to activate innate immune cells and to elicit murine airway inflammation. The skin represents the outer barrier of the human host ...
متن کاملP-64: Innate Immune System Importance in Ectopic Pregnancy with Emphasis on TLR4 Gene
Background: In an ectopic pregnancy (EP) the egg does not reach to the uterus, but instead implants somewhere outside it, usually in fallopian tube. In most cases the exact cause of an ectopic pregnancy is unknown but it is often a result of some sort of damage to the fallopian tube. The tube may have become blocked or narrowed by previous surgery or infection. An active immune system need to r...
متن کاملGene Expression Control by Glucocorticoid Receptors during Innate Immune Responses
Glucocorticoids (GCs) are potent anti-inflammatory compounds that have been extensively used in clinical practice for several decades. GC's effects on inflammation are generally mediated through GC receptors (GRs). Signal transduction through these nuclear receptors leads to dramatic changes in gene expression programs in different cell types, typically due to GR binding to DNA or to transcript...
